Alan Bennett - Talking Heads
Alan Bennett's Talking Heads is a series of six dramatic monologues written for BBC Television. The stories focus on one main protagonist as they gradually and unknowingly reveal their true character. Each narrative contains certain twists and unexpected events as Bennett creates touching and humorous figures of pathos that evoke the reader's pity.
A Chip in the Sugar, Bed Among the Lentils, A Lady of Letters, Her Big Chance, Soldiering On, and A Cream Cracker Under the Settee are the six stories that make up the collection.
